Return to Row with Gateshead CRC
If you have rowed before and would like to get back into the sport we would like to hear from you.
Maybe you have completed a Learn to Row course elsewhere and found that there wasn't coaching or a place in the club after the course. Perhaps you have had an injury or couldn't fit it the demanding training schedules at another club. Maybe you have had a family or other commitments and had to give rowing up.
At Gateshead CRC we always welcome people returning to rowing and can ease people back into the sport they love at their own pace. Our rowers commit what time they want to enjoy their sport whether they want to row recreationally, competitively or a mixture or both.
We are a community club led by volunteers and rowers and we do not operate a strict squad system with expectations to train so many sessions a week. We have many people who have rowed elsewhere or still row with other clubs and have Gateshead CRC as a second club.
Our training sessions are generally Tues and Thursday evenings, Saturday and or/some Sunday mornings. Extra sessions can be put on if crews are training for a regatta.
You are welcome to come along and row with us for free for a few sessions with no obligation to join to see if enjoy being with Gateshead CRC.
